Just a little birthday party...

Hi!!

First off, THANK YOU for all the emails, notes, posts, packages for my birthday!!! I feel so loved!! I have the best family and friends ever!! Thank you!!

This week has been good!

We taught a super sweet lady from China this week and she is willing to experiment and read the Book of Mormon which is really exciting!

We also taught one of my favorite people(also from China) she is the sweetest person ever! The language barrier is a little difficult but at least she has a Chinese Book of Mormon she can read.

Wednesday night we had a missionary fireside and it went really well! Recent converts shared their testimonies and they showed powerful videos, the Spirit was very strong. An 11 year old who was baptized right before I got here shared her testimony and it was the cutest thing ever! I couldn't help but smile the whole time!
A couple of our investigators came and they really liked it! One of them said she had chills!

Saturday the Women's general session of conference was so good!! I loved it! I especially loved President Uchtdorf's talk! I can't wait for conference this weekend!!

I am so grateful for this time I have to be a missionary! I don't want it to end!

God is the Gardener

Hola!!

Some awesome things about this week was that Sister Rogers came out with us for the night on Tuesday and it was so fun! I love President and Sister Rogers.

Wednesday we did Zumba with a member at a retirement home and it was a blast! Some of them were getting really into it lol

We were able to talk with a lady who hangs out in our church parking lot quite a bit (she lives at a rehab place right across the street) and we actually started teaching her and she came to a baptism and came to church this week and said yes to being baptized! She smokes so after she is clean from that she can get baptized!

Life is good! I've learned a lot about being patient this week and that God knows best. There's a really good Mormon message called the Will of God and the man says "I am the Gardener here and I know what I want you to be." It's so true! God knows what will help us and make us grow more than we do. He can see the whole picture. I am so grateful for that!
Love you all!!

He will take our burdens

Hi!!

Another great week here in paradise!

Highlights:
We went over to a members house and watched a couple of the Addiction Recovery videos with an investigator, and let me tell you- they are powerful! It's super duper sad what some people go through because of their addictions, but the Spirit was very strong as they talked about how they turned to Christ and were able to let Him take their burdens. Pretty cool. Our investigator really liked it.

Friday we had exchanges and I had so much fun! The sisters are seriously so incredible. The absolute best thing about being a Sister Training Leader is getting to spend the day with so many different sisters and to learn from them. Especially being around sisters who are in their last transfer, there's something special about a missionary who is about to go home. They are confident and teach so powerfully. It is so fun to be able to witness.
I feel like after every exchange we always say how we will party it up when we get back to Utah for school haha

This week we were able to contact some people that we haven't been able to for a while which was super exciting! Me and Graver met a cute young girl when I first got here and we haven't been able to contact them since (her and her husband have super busy schedules), but last night we did and they were busy right then but said we could come anytime! They seem golden!
This week might be the last week I have in this area and I'm determined to work hard until the end!

I love you all and am so grateful for the opportunity I have to serve the amazing people of NY and to serve alongside so many talented and inspiring missionaries. There really is nowhere else I would rather be.

Exchanges with the Vestal Sisters!

Love Teaching!

Hi!

Its been another busy and great week!

Monday we went out for breakfast where one of our investigators works, that was a lot of fun! Tuesday we had exchanges with the Corning sisters and it was the best! I love them so much! They are such hard working missionaries, I love it. We had some great lessons, my favorite is when we sang hymns to a cute elderly lady in the ward at the retirement home she lives in and two of her friends came to listen. It was adorable. I love the Spirit that the hymns bring.

Wednesday we had a really good lesson with one of our investigators. We brought a member with us who hadn't gone out with missionaries for 10 years because of his health. He was perfect in the lesson and shared some great experiences. Then he took our investigator out for ice cream! I love the members!! I don't know how we would do missionary work without them.

Thursday was the best. We had interviews with President, went and saw two less actives we haven't seen in a long time. Played red light green light with a recent convert (don't worry we related it to the gospel) and picked up two new investigators! Then that night we drove with the Elders to Utica for MLC and got milkshakes at Purity Ice Cream in Ithaca (soo good).

Friday was fun, we talked a lot about being all in and having the faith that what we are doing really does make a difference. It was nice because we don't have a training to give in the next few weeks so it was a lot more laid back.

Saturday night the elders had a baptism and our investigator came and loved it! He started crying when Kevin was getting baptized because he felt the Spirit!

I love being a missionary! Hope you all have a wonderful week!
