Hello hello!
This week was awesome! So much fun stuff!
Valentines day was so great! Sister R is the sweetest and made me heart shaped red pancakes for breakfast :)) and we did some service later in the day then that night we met up with a guy we met last week. We met at a cute little coffee shop by the mall and I got a really good cookie/brownie thing and before we got to start talking about the gospel a magician comes up to us and asks if he can show us a couple tricks! We ended up becoming friends and he was so cool!! He was so good at the tricks he did!! We were definitely all impressed. It was definitely not the night we were expecting to have but it was really fun! We gave both the guy we originally were there to talk with and the magician a Book of Mormon and read a scripture about trials with them which they both enjoyed.
Wednesday a cool miracle happened! So we have a list of people that haven't received the Melchizedek priesthood and so we went to visit one of them and we knock on the door and his mom answers and lets us in and told us that earlier that day she tried calling us but she had the wrong number! She was a little freaked out that all of a sudden we showed up haha but it was cool how God answered her prayer! She was super sweet and after talking with her we set up a time to come back.
Sunday we were driving to a dinner appointment and on the way we were going to pass by a less actives house we have had the hardest time getting a hold of. Sister R had the thought to try again and see if shes home and MIRACLE--she was!! We set a return appointment and are excited to get to meet with her again! So grateful that she acted on that prompting!
The big news this week...I'M TRAINING!! I'm really nervous/excited/anxious! Lots of emotions! It should be fun though.
One of the elders gave me a priesthood blessing yesterday which was really nice. I'm so grateful to be surrounded by righteous priesthood holders!
Mission life is the best!! There's nowhere else I would rather be :)
Love,
Sister Horne
